Prevent THIS From Happening To YOU
They come to the real estate marketing classes we teach on WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest, SEO/SEM, Video and when I say “You need to OWN IT!” there is always an agent that raises their hand and says “I learned that the hard way”. Some of them are still trying to recover from this HUGE mistake.
The worst part is, it’s very easy to avoid – IF you know what you are looking for. Today, 98% of consumers start their home search on the Internet, that means if they can’t find you online, where they would naturally look for you, you are reduced to competing for the 2% of consumers who obviously don’t have a computer. If there is one thing I have learned over the years it is that ALL RELATIONSHIPS COME TO AN END. Change is inevitable. Yet so many real estate agents fail to plan for it. It will happen and when it does don’t let this happen to you.
“Begin with the end in mind”. I’ve heard it so many times. Before you do anything related to real estate marketing, before you tell any consumer on Facebook, Twitter, search engine or otherwise to contact you – make sure you OWN IT. You WILL thank me later, and if it happens to you, it can be catastrophic. Make no mistake about it, getting Google, your past and present database to know you and your value and where to find you is valuable, especially since this is where consumers will naturally look for you, save yourself a lot of time, money, aggravation and frustration and make sure you OWN IT.
